Composite fence installation Milton, ONYou may have heard of popular brand names like Trex fencing, TimberTech or Fiberon, and all these are made of a unique combination of natural wood and manmade vinyl. The great thing about it is they use at minimum 90% recycled materials, so if you're looking for a sustainable option other than wood, then composite fencing is a great option.
On the pricing scale, however, composite materials used in fences and decks run higher than wood, vinyl, and some types of metal. So if your budget is higher or you plan on enjoying your property for decades to come, then choosing a Trex fence or other brand of composite fencing is a good choice. What you'll receive in return is an enclosure that is extremely strong, durable and beautiful. Because of its recycled PVC content, it resists rot and bug infestation the same way that vinyl fencing does. However, since vinyl is hollow in the interior, it is less sturdy and more prone to breakage compared to the dense composite material. Composite fencing is also really easy to upkeep, with only periodic inspections and cleaning required (pressure washing is optional). One minor disadvantage of composite fence boards is that the colour can fade up to 20% in the first few months. However, the colour tends to stabilize after this, and if need be, can be restained at a future date. Many of our customers leave their fence boards as is, but it is nice to know that since there is some wood in the fence panels, it will readily take the stain. |
Did you know?
If properly cared for, composite fencing can last decades. We're talking about 30, 40, even 50 years! So if you're looking for a material that might even outlive you, look no further than composite fencing. Some popular brands like Trex have the option to install the fence on an uneven or sloped ground. This can be helpful in small areas where the grading is not drastically different, and can save the need to have the ground leveled.
